Morgan Lander

Managing Director & Founder

Morgan's passion for protecting the vulnerable is second to none.
​Whilst undertaking a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science (Leisure & Health) through the University of Sydney, Morgan worked in disability, aged care and children's residential facilities including Stewart House and Royal Far West Children's Hospital on Sydney's northern beaches. As a result he developed a keen interest in human rights, risk management and the essential professional standards that are needed when working with vulnerable clientele.

Throughout his eight year front-line career, he developed and facilitated informative sector learning in a range of risk management areas whilst working with vulnerable clients. This resulted in a transition to the NSW Public Service where he spent a decade helping organisations manage risk via Senior Project Officer roles in the NSW public service including within the NSW Sport & Recreation - Child Protection & Employment Screening Unit, NSW Commission for Children & Young People and the Office of the Children’s Guardian.


Morgan is an independent representative on the National Reference Group for Play By The Rules, a role that begun in 2006; is an Independent Evaluator - Child Protection for the Clearinghouse for Sport and has assisted Sport Australia in child safe risk management, complaint handling and member protection since 2011.
He is an independent Member Protection Information Officer for various National sports, State Sporting Organisations and he additionally sits on the board of the Sport Access Foundation.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Leisure & Health) completed at Sydney University and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Laura Lander

Director of Operations

Laura has over 14 years' experience working in both front line service delivery and back end risk management systems within NSW Government human service agencies. With extensive experience in child-related, disability and the social services sectors, she brings great operational, compliance and systems-based expertise to the MLA team.

​Laura has vast expertise in the development of robust, transparent and efficient information systems to reduce risk, operational risk management tools and strategies. 

​Laura holds a Bachelor Degree in Criminology 
& Criminal Justice through Griffith University and is currently undertaking her Masters in Social Work as her passion lies within victims' rights, child safe systems and the procedures of the Australian judicial system.​

Mark Stamopoulos

Manager of Residential Programs 

Mark has worked with vulnerable children for 30 years overseeing residential programs for an estimated 95,000+ NSW and ACT school-aged children.

As the Residential Programs Manager at Stewart House for the past 20 years, his experience and knowledge in risk management means he is integral to all day-to-day operations including well-being of children, staff administration, program design, student safety and admissions.

He additionally sat on the Stewart House Board of Directors for 10 consecutive years.
Mark brings extensive experience in the development of comprehensive risk management system for our services and programs in addition to professional training for residential staff, including mandated renewals and compliance.

He provides astute governance advice to the MLA team as he has held various Board Director positions including sporting clubs, NSW Sporting Associations and recently concluded an executive role within a Sydney-based Public School P & C Association after 16 consecutive years, including 11 years as President.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sports Administration) and a Diploma of Education, both completed at Canberra University.

Diana McDonnell

HR and Quality Assurance Consultant

A highly experienced Human Resources manager, Diana has spent 13 years in senior roles within national organisations and Local Government. Diana is an accredited Quality Assurance Assessor and her knowledge, skill and passion for sound recruitment and workforce management adds wonderful depth to the Not On my Watch portfolio of services. 

​Diana holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management and Services) completed at Charles Sturt University.

Michelle Daniel

Governance Consultant

Michelle has worked in the legal profession for over 18 years and brings a diverse wealth of professional expertise to the MLA team. Michelle has a keen interest in human services and it's interaction with the law and this is evident in her support provided to MLA with the Not On my Watch campaign.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. She is a s
olicitor of the Supreme Court in New South Wales and a member of the New South Wales Law Society.

Peter Lander

Governance Consultant

Peter brings 54 years of professional experience as a practicing solicitor in a range of areas of law. Peter's extensive career and in-depth knowledge of law and governance systems is reflected in the practical, no nonsense and solution-focused advice he provides to Not On my Watch projects.

Peter is
a solicitor of the Supreme Court in New South Wales and a solicitor of the High Court of Australia. He is also a member of the New South Wales Law Society.
